Sotol is a handmade entirely form sotolera plants. While Sotol is perhaps the best known product from the Dasylirion, honey and sugar are also extracted from the plants.
The honey is extracted form this Dasylirion SPP plant (sotol or sereque plant). It is a natural sweetener produced by the sugars present in the piñas or sereque core. This natural honey is similar to the honey extracted from the agave, however, it has a distinct and unique flavor.
The branding for this honey was inspired by the Sotomayor bottle, with the intention to create a new category without losing the same design line. It was important to differentiate it, while providing it with its own personality. It was conceptualized from the logo to the labeling, highlighting the the cap that is closed with wax, simulating honey.
